TERMS AND CONDITIONS
RESPONSIBILITY:
Southern Expeditions, S.A., (its owners, associates, agents and employees)
give notice that they assume no responsibility for injury, thefts,
pilferage, failure of any means of resulting directly or indirectly arising
from caused by any domestic flights within Costa Rica. We are not
responsible for acts of God, detention, annoyance, delays and expense which
cause loss of life, personal injury, cancellations, and delays. Changes in
the itinerary may be made where deemed advisable for the comfort and
well-being of Southern Expeditions We cannot be held liable for quarantine
in convenience to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances,
government restrictions or regulations, discrepancies or change in transit
or hotel service, or damage to person or property in connection with any
service, This also includes same bookings, loss or damage of baggage, and/or
any loss of services as a result of the tour participants. With advance
deposit to Southern Expeditions, S.A., or any of its agents, the depositor
therefore agrees to be bound by the above terms and conditions.
MEDICAL AND HEALTH SERVICE:
Guests with Particular Health Conditions and/or Handicaps should let know to
Southern Expeditions Staff about them before arrival in Costa Rica,
This due the fact, that guest’s will be at sometimes during their trip(s),
in some of the most remote places in Costa Rica. They should tell us so we
can start making arrangements for any emergencies if ever become necessary
to do so.
Leaders on all of our wilderness trips carry a fully-stocked first-aid kit.
In certain circumstances, evacuation could be prolonged, difficult,
expensive or impossible. Guests should take special care. I case of y feel
sick, hospital facilities for serious problems are excellent in Costa Rica
and Southern Expeditions Costa Rica S.A. assumes no liability for costs of
evacuation or provision of medical care.
We strongly recommend that trip participants purchase short-term travelers
insurance, covering baggage, accident/life and trip cancellation. This
insurance coverage is widely available in the U.S. and other countries. Ask
your travel agent. It is not available in Costa Rica.
RESCHEDULING & CANCELING TRIPS:
Southern Expeditions, S.A., reserves the right to Cancel or Reschedule any
trip due to:
Insufficient Sign- Ups and/or Uncontrolled Natural Reasons or Disasters.
In the event of such cancellation, those with reservations shall be notified
as soon as possible and a full refund of payments will be given.
Southern Expeditions, S.A., and participating agents are not responsible for
any expenses incurred for non-refundable air tickets, equipment, medical
costs, etc.
REFUNDS:
No refunds will be given for unused Lodging, Meals, Sightseeing Trips or
Tours, for any reason it all, unless Member Disqualification of a trip.
Refunds are usually given under these circumstances.
Land Cost is quoted as a Package
Credits are not given for services not used.
Refunds:
100%
Of total amount: Only if Insufficient Sign- Ups and/or Uncontrolled Natural
Reasons or Disasters or If reservation is cancel with 30 days.
50%:
Of total amount if the services are canceled with less than 30 days, before
Tour Date
0%:
Of total amount if the services are canceled 48 hours or less time, before
Tour Date
or “NO SHOW”
CONDUCT:
Southern Expedition S.A. and its designated representatives reserve the
right to disqualify any person as member of any trip or tour, should such
persons actions or general behavior impede the operation of the trip or the
rights of welfare or enjoyment of other members on the trip.
Refunds are usually given under these circumstances.
When a refund is granted, it is agreed that the refund will not cover any of
the services provided before the reason of the disqualification.
TERMS:
1. All reservations must be confirmed by some sort of Guarantee.
Such as: Credit Card Authorization Form or Bank Deposit in our Account

A copy of your deposit should be faxed to us to the following fax # (506)
787-0203 in order for us to put your guarantee into effect immediately.
2. In order to guarantee your reservation we must receive full payment at
least 3 weeks in advanced of the Tour Date.
3. Children older than 7 years old pay full price.
Younger than 6, 50% Charge. No exceptions.
4. No pets are allowed in our Trips.
